Best Bets: Wisconsin Football vs. Indiana
Here are this week’s best bets for the Wisconsin Badgers vs. Indiana.
To no one’s surprise, the Wisconsin Badgers football team fell to Ohio State last week 24-10. Moral victories aren’t what any fanbase is looking for, but it was hard to come away from that game not feeling good about the future of the progrum.
One thing that should’ve surprised everyone was for me to have another losing week gambling.
The past 2 weeks have been an absolute bloodbath. I don’t know what I’m doing, and if something doesn’t change soon I’ll be attempting an eating world record.
Before we dive into this week’s picks, let’s take a look at last week’s results.
Wisconsin Football Week Seven Gambling Results
***
Losers:
Ohio State -14.5 vs. Wisconsin (-108) – Ohio State beat Wisconsin 24-10, leaving everyone who took them by 14 and the hook in complete shambles. It continues to amaze me how good oddsmakers are at this shit.
Braelon Allen over 76.5 rushing yards (-115) – This was looking like free money with Allen sitting at 50 yards in the final moments of the second quarter. Then Allen got injured with 43 seconds left in the half and was ruled out for the game. The gambling gods don’t want me to have anything nice.
Wisconsin vs. Ohio State Game Total Over 43.5 (-110) – Both defenses came to play in this one, with the game total only reaching 34. Ohio State did score a touchdown with five minutes left in the game to give me some hope. But I got zero help from the Badgers offense all night.
Utah +6.5 vs Oregon (-112) – Told you I was a sucker for taking underdogs at home in top 15 matchups. The Utes got boat raced 35-6 in this one.
Winners:
Marvin Harrison Jr. over 107.5 receiving yards (-115) – Harrison Jr. continued his dominant play, finishing with six receptions for 123 yards and two touchdowns.
Appalachian State vs. Southern Miss over 56 (-110) – Neither defense could get a stop in this one, as expected, and the over hit by the third quarter. App State continues to be profitable on overs this season with a 5-3 record.
Season Record: 25-32-0 – Another bad week has me at just under 44% on the season. I’m in desperate need of a winning week and will do whatever it takes.
Wisconsin Football Best Bets vs. Indiana
Wisconsin -9.5 vs. Indiana (-110) – The Badgers could struggle moving the ball assuming Braelon Allen and Chimere Dike are ruled out for this game. However, the Hoosiers are allowing over 360 yards and 29 points per game. Overall, I’ve seen enough from Braedyn Locke to believe he can take advantage of this sub-par Indiana defense.
Not to mention, the much-improved Wisconsin defense should have no problem keeping Indiana’s offense in check.
Wisconsin vs. Indiana Game Total Under 46 (-112) – As mentioned earlier the Badgers could struggle to move the ball without some key offensive players. Even if the offense does play well, I don’t have any faith that Indiana can put points.
The only way this doesn’t hit is if the Badgers put up 35+ points.
Wisconsin vs. Indiana 1st Half Total Under 22.5 (-110) – As of 6 a.m. on Saturday there are no player props on DraftKings for this game. That leaves me with no choice but to double down on the under.
Other CFB Bets I Like
Kansas State +3.5 vs. Texas (-110) – No Quinn Ewers and a matchup of top five Big 12 defenses leads me to believe K-State keeps this one close. I don’t hate the K-State money line +150 either, if you’re feeling frisky.
Michigan -32.5 vs. Purdue (-110) – 32.5 is a massive line, but I’ve been riding Michigan all season and it’s worked out well for me. Also, the sign-stealing scandal has them more motivated than ever, and I couldn’t be more confident.
I honestly feel bad for how bad they’re about to make an example out of Purdue.
Iowa vs Northwestern Game Total Under 31 (-110) – The Hawkeyes are 6-2 on unders this season. Somehow they always find a way to make it absolutely hilarious.
Missouri +15 vs. Georgia (-108) – Mizzou has been great this year, and their only loss is a 49-39 defeat at the hands of LSU. Georgia wins this game. But the Tigers will keep it competitive and we see a similar result to Georgia’s 26-22 win last season.
