Familiar Foe Looms for Wisconsin Football in Latest Bowl Projections

In Luke Fickell’s inaugural season as the head coach of the Wisconsin Badgers football program, the team has experienced its fair share of ups and downs, standing at 5-3 overall with a 3-2 record in Big Ten play. 

The puzzle pieces are still coming together as the Badgers gear up for the critical home stretch of the season, with their sights set on winning the underperforming Big Ten West — which is currently in a four-way tie for first place. 

Before the Wisconsin Badgers embark on the final four games of the regular season, let’s take a look at where the bowl projections currently have them sitting. 

Wisconsin Football Projected to See a Familiar Face During Bowl Season. 

There is still plenty of time for narratives to change, but bowl projections have started to surface, and according to Fox Sports, the Wisconsin football team is on track to make an appearance in the Music City Bowl on December 30.

The opponent? None other than the Florida Gators, led by former Wisconsin Badgers starting quarterback Graham Mertz.

This potential matchup would make for an almost poetic and intriguing clash between the new Badgers coaching staff and the most notable offseason departure from the Paul Chryst era.

Who knows what will happen between now and the end of the Wisconsin football season, but what I do know is that I’ll be rooting heavily for this to happen.
