Wisconsin Football 4-Star In-State Target Announces Commitment Details
The Wisconsin football program will learn its fate in Owen Strebig’s recruitment in a week’s time.
After a recent visit to the Wisconsin football program, where the Badgers surprised him with the opportunity to represent the Green Bay Packers in Las Vegas, four-star in-state offensive lineman Owen Strebig has announced his commitment date, which is set for February 8th.
Wisconsin is in Strebig’s top five choices alongside Notre Dame, Florida State, Miami, and USC.

According to the industry-generated composite rankings, Strebig is the No. 127 player in the nation, the No. 13 OT, and the No. 1 player in Wisconsin.
Wisconsin Football Target Owen Strebig Announces Commitment Details
Wisconsin made Strebig’s top 11 in late December. Some schools that did not make the four-star prospect’s top five choices include Illinois, UCF, Iowa, Missouri, Florida, and Michigan.
The Catholic Memorial standout has made multiple visits to Wisconsin, stopping by for the 2023 season opener against Buffalo as well as his recent junior day visit.
Strebig also made a recent stop at Notre Dame, a visit that seems to have gone very well for the Fighting Irish. Several Crystal Ball predictions were cast for Notre Dame to land his services in the past few days, spelling trouble for the Badgers. The Irish have been serious contenders for a long time now, and it looks as though Strebig may be heading out of state.
Wisconsin does hold a commitment from in-state offensive lineman Michael Roeske out of Wautoma, and they’re still after multiple other highly-touted linemen, such as Rowan Byrne, Avery Gach, and Jack Lange.
As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds the No. 10 recruiting class in the nation, per the 247Sports rankings.
