Greg Gard and the University of Wisconsin basketball program had a talented in-state prospect in the stands for a recruiting visit when the Badgers took down No. 3 Marquette at the Kohl Center.

Andrew Jensen — a 2026 frontcourt recruit from Kaukauna, Wisconsin, took his first unofficial visit to Madison on Saturday.

“Thank you to the coaching staff @UWBadgers for having me at the game today,” Jensen said on social media. “It was a great experience and game to attend!”

The 6-foot-9 big man — although just a sophomore — holds scholarship offers from Marquette, UW-Milwaukee, and Bryant. But others are sure to flood in between now and this summer.

Greg Gard is in the early stages of setting up his recruiting board for the 2026 cycle — only having offers out to point guard Dezhon Hall, wing Gabriel Sularski, and five-star forward TJ Crumble thus far.

You could also argue that LaTrevion Fenderson fits into that list — but he still hasn’t officially reclassified to the 2026 recruiting class, although that’s the expectation. But Andrew Jensen is one of the highest-upside big men in Wisconsin — and is a no-brainer to explore a relationship with.

Jensen already has a strong relationship with Shaka Smart and the Marquette coaching staff — and has visited multiple times — but it’s still early enough in his recruitment for Wisconsin basketball to get in the mix.

The Wisconsin native moves extremely well for his size, has some ball skills you wouldn’t expect from a big man, and can stretch the floor and shoot from beyond the arc. Making him an inside-out recruit that UW has traditionally had great success developing. Because of Jenen’s athleticism, he has the potential to be a difference-maker on both ends of the floor.
