The Badgers added a kicker/punter from in-state as a PWO.
Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin Badgers football program picked up an in-state product on the recruiting trail on Wednesday evening.
Sean West, a kicker/punter hailing from Homestead High School, announced his verbal commitment to the Wisconsin football team as a preferred walk-on for the 2024 class.
“So proud to announce my commitment to the University of Wisconsin-Madison,” West wrote. “Thank you to all friends, family, and coaches that have supported me — on Wisconsin.”

The 6-foot-2 specialist is considered both a 4.5-star kicker and punter, according to Kohl’s Kicking Camps. He also had reported offers from Minnesota Duluth, Minnesota State- Mankato, and UW-Whitewater.
Impressively, West — who earned first-team all-state honors as both a kicker and punter in 2023 — boasted an average of 42.9 yards per punt, connected on 15 out of 19 field goals, and made 23 out of 26 extra points.
He’ll join a team of Wisconsin football specialists room that includes Nathanial Vakos, Nate Van Zelst, Gavin Lahm, and Atticus Bertrams.
West is now the Wisconsin Badgers football team’s sixth known preferred walk-on commit in the 2024 recruiting class, joining quarterback Milos Spasojevic, linebacker Drew Braam, tight end Langdon Nordgaard, safety Mason Lane, and three-star outside backer Cody Raymond.
