The Wisconsin football program will get a return trip from a three-star cornerback target in the 2025 recruiting class this month.

Jahmare Washington, a Chicago native, took to social media to announce that he will make his way to Madison for an upcoming spring practice.

According to the composite rankings, Washington is the No. 738 player in the nation, the No. 69 CB, and the No. 24 player in Illinois.

This upcoming visit will mark Washington’s second time to UW. He picked up a scholarship offer during a junior day in February.

“It meant a lot being my first Big Ten (offer),” Washington told Badgernotes after his visit.

The three-star cornerback’s recruitment has picked up some steam as of late. He’s currently up to 15 offers, with notable programs such as Indiana, Kansas State, Iowa State, Toledo, Akron, and Western Michigan, among others, extending a scholarship.

Cornerbacks coach Paul Haynes has done most of the heavy lifting in Washington’s recruitment, and they began forging a relationship during his first visit.

“The energy when I first got there definitely kept me entertained. Great energy from the coaches and hospitality from Coach Haynes.”

Wisconsin football is in the mix for several cornerback targets in the 2025 class, including Zay Gentry, Tre Poteat, and Mason Alexander. Washington also has some serious interest in UW, and the Badgers staff has made it known that they like what he brings to the table.

“The length, the twitchiness, definitely ball skills, and having the ability to do those things at my height,” Washington said when asked what UW sees in his game.

This recruitment will be worth monitoring as the Badgers look to rebound after a pair of decommitments in the 2025 class.

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds seven commitments in the 2025 cycle and the No. 13 recruiting class in the country.
