The 2025 recruiting class for the 2025 Wisconsin football team currently stands at 21 committed players and they are hoping that bumps up to 22 next week.

After finishing up all of his official visits, four-star interior offensive lineman Hardy Watts has announced the details of his upcoming commitment.

He also posted that he will be going live on his Instagram account for his announcement, so Wisconsin football fans will be able to watch it.

Watts was a part of one of the Badgers’ big recruiting weekends early in June. During that weekend, June 7th, Wisconsin had ten visitors. All but three are now committed to the Wisconsin football team. Those not committed include Byron Louis, Brody Lennon, and Watts.

7/10 is a ridiculous commitment rate for official visits. The Badgers are hoping that bumps up to 8/10 with a commitment from Watts.

According to the 247Sports Composite, Watts is a 4-star prospect. He is the 217th-ranked prospect in the nation, the 12th interior offensive lineman, and the top overall player in Massachusetts.

Should Watts commit to the Wisconsin football team, that would bolster an already strong recruiting class for the Badgers. His pledge would push the Badgers from 13th to 12th in the 247Sports Composite Class Rankings, jumping Tennessee as it currently stands.

There was a lot of smoke and momentum for the Badgers following their official visit, but things can always change in the recruiting game.

A weekend in Ann Arbor could certainly change things. Michigan seems to have the momentum here after Michigan Insider Steve Lorenz placed a crystal ball in favor of Michigan with a confidence level of 8 (high). The Wolverines did get a commitment from interior offensive lineman Kayden Strayhorn.

Is that a sign that Watts could end up elsewhere, or is Michigan just loading up their offensive line with two highly-touted interior linemen?

There is also a prediction in favor of Clemson that was made a couple of weeks ago, but that prediction has a lower confidence level of 6 (medium).

This isn’t a commitment that the Wisconsin football team desperately needs, but it would be an absolute cherry on top of a great recruiting class for the Badgers. You can never add enough talent, especially with the transfer portal in play. Load up with guys like Watts while you can and figure out the rest later.
