Wisconsin football has had some notable in-state recruits leave the proverbials walls and head East, signing with the Penn State Nittany Lions. Now the Badgers have a chance to steal one of their top remaining offensive line targets back from the state of Pennslyvania.

2024 Four-star offensive tackle Kevin Heywood made a handful of visits throughout the spring and now, according to a report from Brian Dohn of 247Sports, has scheduled four official visits for the summer.

Getting the first crack at the 6-foot-7, 290-pound OT is the University of Wisconsin, who will host the Pennslyvania native on an official visit from June 2-4 before visiting Kentucky, Auburn, and USC.

As it stands, the 247Sports Composite has him rated as the No. 258 overall prospect in the 2024 recruiting class, the No. 25 OT in the country, and the No. 5 player in Pennsylvania.

A highly touted national recruit, Heywood boasts an impressive offer list. Some of the notable programs that have offered a scholarship so far include the Irish, Georgia, Michigan, Miami, Penn State, Tennessee, Texas A&M, Nebraska, Minnesota, Maryland, Boston College, West Virginia, Pittsburgh, Northwestern, Duke, Syracuse, Vanderbilt, Rutgers, and several others.

Although Penn State doesn’t actively have an official visit lined up, they’re expected to take up to six offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting class and are still the favorite to land his services.

Wisconsin football is also projected to take a sizeable offensive line class, and an athletic mauling offensive lineman like Kevin Heywood would be an excellent addition to the program. Traditionally UW has a good track record of recruiting in June.
