Wisconsin Football Transfer Expected to Land With Big Ten Team
Could the former Wisconsin Badgers LB stay in the Big Ten?
Shortly after Wisconsin football starting inside linebacker Jordan Turner entered the transfer portal, teams began calling.
Turner then lined up a visit with Michigan State under the guidance of new head coach Jonathan Smith, who has plenty of holes to fill following the max exodus that ensued during and after the season.
There also appears to be a connection between Turner and the Spartans’ defensive coordinator, Joe Rossi, with whom he had a previous relationship since his time as a prep recruit, even picking up an offer from the Gophers.
It appears that visit went quite well because 247Sports recruiting insiders Sean Scherer and Allen Trieu have both placed crystal ball predictions for the former Wisconsin Badgers linebacker to end up in East Lansing.
Former Wisconsin Football LB Jordan Turner Trending Toward MSU
While Jordan Turner was with the Wisconsin football program, he played in 30 career games, so his experience, particularly in the Big Ten, is appealing to someone like Michigan State for obvious reasons. He’s also a Michigan native, making the landing spot even more intriguing.
The 6-foot-1, 238-pound linebacker finished his Wisconsin Badgers career with 135 tackles, 37 pressures, 12.5 TFLs, six pass deflections, 5.0 sacks, three interceptions, and two forced fumbles.
In 2023, he amassed 61 tackles, 13 pressures, 6.5 TFLs, 3.0 sacks, two pass deflections, and a forced fumble. He would be an instant starter for the Spartans.
Regardless of where he winds up in the transfer portal, even if it’s in the Big Ten conference, I hope I speak for all Wisconsin football fans when I wish him all the best.
