In what would have felt like a given several years ago, the Wisconsin football program learned that one of its starting wide receivers would officially be back with the Badgers in 2024.

Bryson Green, coming off his best performance of the season against LSU, where he caught seven passes for 105 yards and a touchdown, told reporters he’d be returning to the team next season.

The 6-foot wideout from Texas transferred into the program this past offseason from Oklahoma State and will have one more year of eligibility.

The Wisconsin football team’s offense didn’t ever quite mesh the way many were hoping under Phil Longo in year one of a system overhaul. Still, the Badgers’ 506-yard outburst in the season finale showed what they could be capable of if everything came together.

Getting Bryson Green back for next season is undoubtedly a plus for the Wisconsin Badgers. He finished with 32 catches for 480 yards and two touchdowns, averaging 15 yards per catch.

Green gives the Badgers one sure-fire starting wide receiver on the boundary to compliment Will Pauling, a stud slot wideout in Longo’s offense who led the team this past season.

The goal now becomes finding another weapon on the boundary that can help elevate the downfield passing attack in year two.

Players like Vinny Anthony, Trech Kekahuna, Quincy Burroughs, and CJ Williams all figure to factor into the mix for the Wisconsin football team next season, and their development will be crucial. That said, another outside addition will likely factor into the plans as well.
