Wisconsin Football Blue-Chip Target Announces Commitment Details
The Badgers are among the top five for the talented linebacker.
The Wisconsin Badgers football program will soon learn their fat as it pertains to a blue-chip recruiting target in the 2025 class.
Four-star linebacker Anthony Sacca, who attends St. Joseph’s Prep in Pennsylvania, announced that he’d make his college decision on Saturday at 2 p.m. from a list of top finalists that includes Ohio State, Notre Dame, Duke, Alabama, and the Wisconsin Badgers.

Sacca currently ranks as the nation’s No. 25 linebacker in the composite recruiting rankings and the No. 187 player in his class. In his junior season, Sacca transitioned from safety to linebacker, tallying 67 tackles and two interceptions.
“They’ve been recruiting me really hard,” Sacca said of the Badgers. I’ve sat down with coach Fickell and almost their entire defensive staff and have been on the phone with them. We’ve built really good relationships.”
One thing Wisconsin football has had going for them is that former high school teammate and current 2024 Badgers signee Omillio Agard has been able to stay in his ear about teaming up. That said, I wouldn’t get your hopes up because the 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker has a pair of crystal ball predictions to wind up at Notre Dame.
Unfortunately, inclement weather prevented Sacca from visiting Madison for his Wisconsin football junior day recruiting trip. Nonetheless, Luke Fickell and Badgers outside linebackers coach Matt Mitchell visited his high school and engaged in discussions in an effort to stay in the mix.
As Sacca eyes his weekend commitment, Wisconsin football will likely need to keep their options open at linebacker on the recruiting trail. That said, the program does hold 2025 commitments from in-state product Cooper Catalano plus outside backers Brenden Anes and Samuel Lateju.
