Wisconsin Football Hosting Highly-Touted WR Target on Official Visit
The Badgers have another official visit on the docket.
Official visit season is in full swing, and the Wisconsin football program is locking down recruiting trips with loads of priority targets in the 2025 cycle.
One of the latest prospects to add a visit to their schedule is Vernon Allen III, a three-star wide receiver out of Baltimore, Maryland.
Allen took to social media to announce he would make his way to Madison during the second weekend of June.

Wisconsin Football Locks in Recruiting Visit With Vernon Allen III
According to the composite rankings, Allen is rated as the No. 766 player in the nation, the No. 127 WR, and the No. 21 player in Maryland.
Wisconsin football extended an offer to Allen at the beginning of February, joining 19 other schools in their pursuit of the three-star wide receiver. Other notable programs, including Michigan, Penn State, Florida, Notre Dame, North Carolina, Syracuse, Rutgers, and many others, have thrown their hat in the ring.
Allen currently has other official visits lined up with Syracuse and Duke. He’ll make his way to New York on May 31st before heading to Madison.
In his junior campaign at Baltimore City College, Allen logged 72 receptions for 1,123 yards and 13 touchdowns. He also served as a kick returner, recording 103 yards on six returns, according to MaxPreps.
The 6-foot-3, 185-pound receiver flashes on film with his ability to get up and bring down contested catches while also possessing the shiftiness in the open field to make defenders miss. While he doesn’t necessarily have breakaway speed, he runs great routes that allow him to create plenty of separation.
Allen’s official visit will be his first opportunity to see what Wisconsin and wide receivers coach Kenny Guiton have to offer. Guiton has had lots of success recruiting wideouts dating back to his time at Arkansas, so this recruitment will be worth monitoring leading up to Allen’s trip.
As it stands, the Wisconsin football program has yet to add a wide receiver in the 2025 recruiting class.
