The Wisconsin football program has already compiled a strong recruiting class in the 2025 cycle, currently holding nine commitments and the No. 8 class in the nation.

The Badgers got some more good news on the recruiting front on Tuesday, as three-star Eidan Buchanan trimmed down his list of schools and included UW alongside Rutgers, Maryland, Kentucky, and West Virginia.

According to the composite rankings, Buchanan is the No. 921 player in the nation, the No. 65 OT, and the No. 26 player in Maryland.

Wisconsin Football Cracks the Top-Five For Eidan Buchanan

Wisconsin football jumped into the mix early in the process by being the third program to extend an offer to Buchanan in June 2023.

After signing five offensive linemen in the 2024 recruiting cycle, Wisconsin has the opportunity to be a bit more picky with who they take this time around. As it stands, UW holds one offensive line commit in Wautoma standout Michael Roeske.

Buchanan has a connection to UW, as he and 2024 signee Dilin Jones were teammates at Good Counsel in Olney, Maryland.

At 6-foot-8, 310 pounds, Buchanan stands out among his peers with his size. On film, the Good Counsel flashes with his power and strength at the point of contact. He outweighs many of the defenders he faces off against, and you often see Buchanan shoving a player back or just flat-out pancaking them. With his combination of size and strength, he could be a vital part of any offensive line.

Now that the Wisconsin football program has made the top choices for Buchanan, the priority is to get him in on a visit and to have AJ Blazek sell his vision for the three-star offensive lineman.
