As the Wisconsin football team gears up to face Nebraska in a pivotal matchup, the Badgers are grappling with uncertainties surrounding running back Braelon Allen’s health. After a rough three-week stretch, the team’s frustration with injuries and a lack of momentum is palpable.

Allen, a crucial piece in Wisconsin’s offense, suffered a high-ankle sprain against Ohio State and sat out the Indiana game, appearing limited in the recent game against Northwestern. With Nebraska boasting a formidable defense allowing a mere 79.6 rushing yards per game, Allen’s condition becomes even more critical for Saturday’s clash.

Will Braelon Allen Be Available for Wisconsin Football Against Nebraska?

Addressing reporters earlier this week, Wisconsin football head coach Luke Fickell shared a cautious update on Allen’s status. Expressing uncertainty, Fickell mentioned, “Last week, he didn’t do a bunch, and it was going to be a game-time decision. We’ll have to see this week.”

The absence of Allen has significantly impacted the Badgers’ ground game, evident in their recent performances where Wisconsin’s rushing yards per carry have been under 4.0YPC during the losing streak.

Facing a formidable run defense, Wisconsin needs to diversify its offense and play complementary football to counter Nebraska’s bread and butter.

With Saturday’s game on the horizon and Braelon Allen in his third week of recovery, the team continues to face uncertainty about his availability.

Can Allen recuperate in time to bolster the Badgers’ offense against Nebraska? The decision remains in the balance as the Wisconsin football team remains hopeful for positive developments in Allen’s recovery ahead of a critical matchup with bowl eligibility on the line.
