Wisconsin Badgers Football vs Nebraska

The Wisconsin football program got back on track and secured bowl eligibility last week against Nebraska. Now, the Badgers are set to take on Minnesota in the Battle of Paul Bunyan’s Axe.

Wisconsin has the chance to play spoiler this week. Minnesota is currently one win away from bowl eligibility, sitting at 5-6 on the season. If UW can come out on top, the Gophers will miss a bowl game AND lose possession of the Axe. There’s nothing better than beating your rival, and ending their season early would just be so sweet.

A victory on Saturday would bring the Badgers to 7-5 on the season. Though that wouldn’t meet the lofty preseason expectations, heading into extra bowl game practices with some momentum and finishing two games above .500 would give a much more positive outlook on Luke Fickell’s first year.
