The Wisconsin football program is off to a strong start in the 2025 recruiting class. The Badgers currently hold four commitments in the cycle, with Cooper Catalano, Michael Roeske, Remington Moss, and Landyn Locke all verbally committing.

The cycle has a long way to go, but the Badgers made the early cut down for a standout four-star athlete.

Wisconsin Football Makes the Top Eight for Four-Star ATH Jai’mier Scott

On Friday afternoon, Mt. Healthy High School standout Jai’mier Scott announced his top eight. Wisconsin made the cut alongside Michigan, Penn State, Tennesee, Louisville, Kentucky, Illinois, and Virginia Tech.

According to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite, Scott is the No. 358 prospect in the nation, the No. 22 ATH, and the No. 12 player in Ohio.

Scott has made multiple stops to Madison to meet with Luke Fickell and company. His first trip came during the offseason in April, and he was able to make his way back to UW for the home finale against Nebraska.

The four-star athlete plays both cornerback and wide receiver. During his junior year, Scott logged 53 tackles, eight pass breakups, and two interceptions on defense — including a pick-six — while tacking on 817 total yards and eight total touchdowns on offense.

UW is up against some tough competition, with several Big Ten programs, including Michigan, Penn State, and Illinois, all in the mix. Wisconsin has done a good job at keeping the four-star prospect warm for some time now, but they’ll need to close it out with some powerhouses looming large.

As it stands, the Wisconsin football program holds the No. 14 class in the 2025 cycle, per 247Sports.
