Wisconsin football fans were taken for a wild ride today. After waiting eight months for the new era of Badgers football to begin, it did not get off to the high-flying start many were expecting. Despite the hiccups, UW came away with a victory.

Wisconsin Football Struggles Early In Victory Over Buffalo

UW struggled to pass the ball early. Despite the new Air Raid offense, some fans were skeptical of the new system. Others went as far as to ask for the old pro-style offense back.

Badgers Lead 14-10 at Halftime

With just a small lead at halftime, fans were nervous, some hopeful, some downright infuriated.

I understand, but Buffalo also went 6-6 last year in the regular season, has new coordinators on both sides of the ball, and a bunch of new starters. If Wisconsin football has more talent than Buffalo, maybe the game should not have been so close.

I know fans are passionate, but this feels like the wrong way to react to the first of 24 halves of football in a season.

Wisconsin Football RB Chez Mellusi Records Fifth-Longest TD Run in Program History

Badgers running back Chez Mellusi rattled off an 89-yard touchdown run Saturday. It was the fifth-longest rushing touchdown in program history. Fans were expecting a big game through the air for UW, but were excited to see the rushing attack in full force.

Wisconsin Football Fans React Post-Game

Although the game did not go as expected, fans tried to take away some positives.

Is Wisconsin football the best team in the Big Ten? Many people are saying.
