Wisconsin football got off to a slow start against Washington State. In the third quarter, however, everything started to come together. The Badgers scored 16 unanswered points and were within two by the start of the fourth quarter. Despite promising hopes of a comeback, it all fell apart.

So, how are Wisconsin football fans feeling about it?

Should Wisconsin Football Have Been Awarded a Safety?

Early in the fourth quarter, Badgers linebacker James Thompson Jr. sacked WSU quarterback Cam Ward. Ward was ruled down at the one-yard line of Wazzu, but it appeared the play should have resulted in a safety. If it had, Wisconsin would have gotten the ball back tied 24-24.

Despite what looked like a promising comeback, the Badgers’ early mistakes doomed them. UW had to play nearly perfectly in the second half to come back but fell just short. Some Wisconsin fans are taking the loss in stride. Others, however, are already calling to end the Luke Fickell era.
