Wisconsin Football Dawg of the Week

The Wisconsin Football Dawg of the Week series is an opportunity to spotlight a player that had a massive impact on the game. Earning this prestigious honor is more than just statistical output. It’s all about who let that inner dawg out.

Certainly stats will factor into this weekly award — but this particular accolade is more than who filled up the stat sheet. More simply — what player would not be denied. When a players best was required — who rose to the occasion?

Wisconsin Football Kicker Nathanial Vakos

When you head out to the Paloose for a night game — your head better be on a swivel.  The Wisconsin Badgers did not come to play for all four quarters and they lost a dogfight. While the Badgers didn’t play a complimentary game for all 60 minutes — there was a bright spot.

Wisconsin kicker Nathanial Vakos went 3-for-3 on his field goal attempts of 49, 33, and 29 yards. The Ohio transfer tacked on an extra point and finished his night 4-for-4 on kicks.

With his perfect performance, Nathaniel Vakos is the Wisconsin Football Week 2: Dawg of the Week.

UW will look to bounce back next week against Georgia Southern at 11 AM on BTN.
