Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program have already put together a solid 2025 recruiting class early in the cycle, currently holding nine commitments and the No. 8 class in the country.

With early verbal pledges comes the possibility of big programs swooping in to try to steal a commitment away, and three-star safety Cody Haddad seems to be the hot commodity.

Since committing to Wisconsin in January, some Big Ten schools, such as Iowa, Ohio State, Michigan State, Indiana, and Minnesota, have entered the fray, and his hometown school is making a big move to try to sway the three-star safety away from the Badgers.

According to a report by 247Sports’ Allen Trieu, Haddad is on a visit with Ohio State, the first team to offer him after his commitment to UW.

It’s worth noting that former Badgers safeties coach Colin Hitschler was one of Haddad’s main recruiters before he left for a job with Kalen DeBoer at Alabama. Relationships are crucial in college football, and losing a great recruiter who built a strong foundation with Haddad could cause him to look for other options.

Haddad made multiple unofficial visits to Ohio State during the regular season, stopping in Columbus in September and November. Being his home state team, what transpires after today’s visit will be worth closely monitoring.

Per the composite rankings, Haddad is rated as the No. 523 player in the nation, the No. 37 ATH, and the No. 16 player in Ohio.

The three-star safety is coming off a junior season in which he only played four games due to an injury but still managed to record 42 tackles, three forced fumbles, and four interceptions.
