The Wisconsin football program will have a three-star cornerback on campus for an official visit on June 14th.

Charles “CJ” Bell, a Connecticut native, took to social media to announce he had locked in the visit with UW.

According to the composite rankings, Bell is the No. 964 player in the country, the No. 80 CB, and the No. 11 player in Connecticut.

Bell currently holds 14 offers, with notable programs including Penn State, Rutgers, Minnesota, Iowa, Maryland, Notre Dame, Tennessee, and UConn extending scholarships.

The St. Thomas More Prep standout will take official visits to Rutgers and Boston College before making his way to Madison; then, he’ll head to Minnesota on June 21st. He could be considered a Rutgers lean at this point, as he has taken multiple unofficial visits to Piscataway.

Under Mike Tressel’s defensive scheme, long, rangy, and athletic cornerbacks are key. Bell checks those boxes, standing at 6-foot-1, 170 pounds with the athleticism and ball skills that could make him a contributor at the next level with some development.
Wisconsin currently has a commitment from four-star cornerback Jai’mier Scott in the 2025 recruiting class. UW is expected to take multiple cornerbacks once again after taking six defensive backs in the last two cycles.

Some of the Wisconsin football program’s top remaining cornerback targets include Rukeem Stroud, Mason Alexander, Corey Costner, and Tre Poteat.

Wisconsin football holds 11 commitments in the 2025 cycle, which ranks as the No. 17 class in the country.
