Tyler Wahl has reached a career milestone that only 13 other Wisconsin Badgers basketball players can lay claim to.

In last night’s 71-60 victory over Chris Holtmann and the Ohio State Buckeyes, where Wahl chipped in 11 points, five rebounds, two assists, one steal, and a block, the Lakeville North product officially crossed the 100 career start landmark.

After struggling to finish around the rim last season, the 6-foot-9 Swiss army knife has settled into a role that’s allowed him to score more efficiently without forcing the issue. He’s been invaluable to the Badgers since he first stepped onto campus in the 2019-20 season.

Tyler Wahl returned to the Wisconsin basketball program for a fifth season due to having an extra year of eligibility dating back to the COVID-19 shortened season and has been an integral piece for Greg Gard.

On the season, Wahl is averaging 11.8 points per game, 6.0 rebounds, 1.5 assists, 0.8 steals, and 0.6 blocks, reaching double figures in 10 of 15 the Badgers 15 contests.

The Minnesota native also joined an exclusive club earlier this season, becoming just the 8th player in Wisconsin Badgers history to record 1,000 points, 500 rebounds, and 200 assists. He joined Brad Davison, Michael Finley, Josh Gasser, Ethan Happ, Nigel Hayes, Alando Tucker, and Mike Wilkinson as the only players to accomplish that feat.

Tip of the cap to Tyler Wahl, who has been an impressive two-way player for the Wisconsin basketball team for five seasons.
