Wisconsin Basketball to Host Elite 2025 Prospect on Unofficial Visit
The Wisconsin basketball program is set to host a top prospect in the 2025 class. According to a report by Jake Weingarten, EJ Walker is en route to Wisconsin for an unofficial visit.
Top-50 sophomore EJ Walker is en route for an unofficial visit to Wisconsin, he told @Stockrisers. Averaged 25 points and 10 boards at Titans/Rockets shootout this past weekend. Also recently visited Ohio State.

Walker has received scholarship offers from schools like Minnesota, Purdue, Ohio State, Xavier, Dayton, and many more. Wisconsin offered Walker in May.
“I know that they [UW] do a great job developing their guys and have been in the NCAA Tournament 22 of the last 24 seasons,” Walker told BadgerNotes in May following the offer. “I’m looking for a program that can develop me…good academics, a winning culture, and a family atmosphere is also important.”
Wisconsin Basketball is Throwing Their Hat Into the Mix
Walker has already taken visits to Minnesota and Ohio State. He’s also currently working on coordinating visits with Notre Dame and Wake Forest.
Wisconsin has been very involved in Walker’s recruitment early on.
“Wisconsin believes relationships are very important and how well I do in the classroom,” Walker told Stockrisers. “The first time I spoke to Coach (Gard), we didn’t even talk basketball, really. Talked about family. He was cool and told me everything he liked about my game and my grades.”
Walker is one of the top prospects to receive an offer from coach Gard thus far. Other notable offers in the 2025 class include in-state prospects Davion Hannah and Kai Rogers, as well as four-star forward Trent Sisley and five-star guard Jalen Haralson.
Walker has received significant attention early in his recruitment, fielding 17 offers thus far. Getting a premier athlete like Walker on campus early is significant for the Wisconsin basketball program, and he’ll be a prospect to watch going forward.
