The first live evaluation period of the summer allowed Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball coaching staff to get a closer look at some of the top prospects in the country.

Among that group of players who caught their attention was Fishers (Ind.) 2025 five-star combo guard Jalen Haralson, who received a scholarship offer from the Badgers.

Haralson, a 6-foot-7 guard, plays for the Indy Heat 17U team on the AAU circuit this summer and is teammates with Trent Sisley, who also holds an offer from UW

During his sophomore season at Fishers High School, Haralson averaged 23.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, 3.9 assists, and 1.1 steals per game on 53% shooting from the field, according to MaxPreps.

As a result, the 247Sports Composite has him rated as the No. 9 overall prospect in the 2025 recruiting class, the No. 1 CG in the country, and the No. 1 player in Indiana.

At this time, he holds offers from Auburn, Florida State, Iowa, Maryland, Michigan, Michigan State, Missouri, Ohio State, Purdue, and now the Wisconsin basketball program.

Jalen Haralson Scouting Report

Jalen Haralson is one of the best prospects in the 2025 recruiting class, full stop.

On film, there’s nothing this kid can’t do. Haralson has a college-ready build, is lanky enough to disrupt passing lanes on defense, and is a weapon when he gets out and runs the break.

He also has tremendous speed and court vision, plus when he gets downhill, there’s not much you can do to stop him. He also has the ability to shoot from beyond the arc and, in some instances, knock down shots on the move.

The upside in a player like Haralson is an NBA lottery pick.

Final Thoughts on Wisconsin Basketball + Offer to Jalen Haralson

Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball program haven’t gotten offer crazy in the 2025 recruiting class (they never do).

Jalen Haralson is just the fourth player the Badgers coaching staff has offered, joining the likes of in-state products Davion Hannah, Kai Rogers, and four-star forward Trent Sisley. Although, more offers are sure to follow as the summer rolls on.

It’s going to be next to impossible for Wisconsin to garner serious consideration for Haralson when he’s going to have his pick of the litter.
