Wisconsin basketball is coming off of one of its most disappointing seasons in over two decades. Despite failing to reach the NCAA Tournament for just the second time since 1999, head coach Greg Gard is looking ahead. In addition to an already impressive group, UW is among the frontrunners for a top target in the 2024 class. Although an actual commitment in the 2025 class may not come soon, the Badgers might know who the first member of its class will be.

Wisconsin Basketball Receives Crystal Ball Prediction for Will Garlock

Following Wisconsin basketball’s advance camp this week, Gard extended scholarship offers to a few in-state recruits. Among them, was Will Garlock. Shortly after, 247Sports insider Evan Flood entered a Crystal Ball prediction for Garlock to commit to UW.

Although Wisconsin and Garlock did not have official contact until this June, the local prospect is very familiar with the Badgers. The six-foot-ten-inch and 215-pound center attends Middleton High School. His lead recruiter, Wisconsin basketball assistant coach Dean Oliver, has a son that plays at Middleton.

The center is not currently ranked by any of the major recruiting services but is being pursued by multiple high-major programs. Garlock received a scholarship offer following an unofficial visit to Marquette and also received an offer from Virginia Tech.

As a 2025 recruit, Garlock would arrive on campus after Steven Crowl’s final season of eligibility. Garlock would project to receive minutes behind Gus Yalden – an incoming freshman in the 2023 class.
