Madison, Wis.– After previously offering one talented twin offensive lineman from Ohio, the Wisconsin Badgers may offer the second twin as well.

Mercer and Charlton Luniewski are twin offensive linemen in the 2024 football recruiting class. Mercer has the bigger frame of the two brothers, measuring in at 6-foot-7-inches and 300 pounds as a tackle. Charlton, however, plays guard and comes in at 6-foot-5-inches and 280 pounds.

While the brothers may have different frames and positions, the Luniewski brothers are both exceptionally talented linemen. The brotherly duo has started on the same offensive line together for most of their lives, and may have the chance to do so again. For some, it is a lifelong dream to reach the collegiate level with their sibling, but to be on the same team could be another story.

Wisconsin Badgers Football Eyeing Luniewski Twins

Mercer Luniewski currently leads the twin brothers in the recruiting battle, with 15 top-level scholarship offers. Mercer is also a three-star recruit and the 26th overall recruit in the state of Ohio. The offensive tackle is also ranked as the 66th overall player at his position in the 2024 recruiting class. Among the programs interested in the tackle are conference rivals Minnesota and Michigan State, who have recruited the twin brother for longer than the Badgers.

For his brother, Charlton, the recruiting experience has been a bit different. Charlton is not ranked in the 2024 football recruiting class, and currently holds seven major scholarship offers. The talented guard also holds offers to Michigan State, Miami (OH), Kentucky, and Toledo, all schools interested in his brother. Charlton may not have the same size as his brother, but instead provides excellent agility and foot work.

The powerful duo has multiple opportunities to end up within the same collegiate program. However, the question is whether or not the twin brothers actually want to stay together in the future. Neither lineman has made any sort of major contact with any programs at this time, and their recruitment is still considered to be wide open.

For the Wisconsin Badgers, the key to landing the duo may end up involving recruiting them together. Thus far the schools the duo have visited are programs they each have offers to. Wisconsin has not made contact with Charlton, the interior lineman, a scholarship yet, nor has there been any indication that the two parties are in contact. Wisconsin may have to open their recruitment of Charlton before too long in order to land the duo together.

The Wisconsin Badgers will eagerly continue to recruit the 2024 class as the spring season comes to a close.
