Madison, Wis.- Once again the Wisconsin Badgers are making their way into the world of crystal ball predictions. Most recently, the Badgers landed a crystal ball for 2024 three-star running back Darrion Dupree of Illinois. Dupree is one of the top players in his state and he has been heavily recruited by Wisconsin as of late. The running back could certainly end up in Madison again before too long.

Coming in at 5-foot-10, 190 pounds, Dupree provides a balance of speed and power from the backfield. Dupree also has tremendous balance and keeps many broken plays alive because of his ability. The do-it-all running back truly lives up to the versatile name as he can hurdle, cut, or run over any defender.

The Illinois native can also catch the ball from out of the backfield, or when he lines up outside. Dupree is able to do virtually anything as a running back, which only adds to his value as a recruit. His rare combination of patience and physicality could also benefit him at the collegiate level.

Wisconsin Badgers Football: Three-Star Darrion Dupree Eyeing Second Madison Visit

Currently, the talented running back Dupree has already visited the Wisconsin campus twice this year. After his most recent visit this past week, Dupree locked in an official visit for June before leaving campus. The Badgers locked in their third visit as Dupree continues to be one of the most active recruits at this moment. The three-star recruit has 28 scholarship offers and has conducted over 30 campus visits as well.

The running back has already made 13 visits this year, with many more upcoming visits being scheduled. His next visit will take place this weekend when Dupree travels to West Virginia to meet with the Mountaineers staff. Dupree has already made his way through the Big Ten Conference, covering Michigan, Michigan State, Notre Dame, Rutgers, Iowa, and Illinois in his recent visits.

The Wisconsin Badgers have some rather fierce competition in the recruitment of Dupree, but that comes with the territory. Missouri, Notre Dame, and Iowa have been leading the charge against the Badgers thus far for the talented recruit. Wisconsin is the first school to book an official visit with the running back, which bodes well for their relationship and recruitment. Dupree will have the choice to go to anyone within the conference as well, which would make landing the running back that much more meaningful.

As a recruit, Dupree has been offered by the Wisconsin staff twice now, with the first offer coming from their time in Cincinnati. Coach Gino Guidugli offered Dupree a scholarship each time, and is now recruiting the running back for his new job at Notre Dame. Dupree has connections all across the board with different staff members and schools. Landing the 2024 three-star will come down to time and effort as Dupree makes his visiting rounds.
