NFL GMs had to cut down their rosters on Tuesday, and quite a few former Wisconsin Football players made 53-man rosters.

Tuesday was officially cutdown day across the NFL, meaning GMs had to trim their rosters down to 53 players ahead of week one. That meant several former Wisconsin football stars sat close to the phone, waiting for the call that determined their fate.

Several Badgers were released or waived by their respective franchise, while 22 alumni made initial 53-man rosters — some for the first time.
