As of January 11, 2024, the Wisconsin Badgers football team has had over 15 players enter the transfer portal.

That’s a combination of how college football works nowadays and Luke Fickell taking over a program full of players predominantly recruited by Paul Chryst. Some left last season, and others gave it a year to see if this new regime would offer a potential fit for them long-term.

Regardless, the Wisconsin Badgers have lost a handful of starters and some key depth pieces, which left their depth chart for the ReliaQuest Bowl against LSU relatively thin. Fortunately, they’ve been able to fill some of those voids through the portal, considering it works both ways.

But let’s take a look at where some of the Wisconsin Badgers football program’s outgoing transfers have landed.

Wisconsin Badgers Football Transfers Who Have Found New Homes

OL Dylan Barrett (Iowa St)

WR Chimere Dike (Florida)

DL Rodas Johnson (Texas A&M)

OL Nolan Rucci (PSU)

LB Jordan Turner (MSU)

LB Jordan Mayer (PSU)

OL Trey Wedig (IU)

DL Darian Varner (Cincinnati)

WR Skyler Bell (UCONN)

Myles Burkett (Albany)

Several Wisconsin Badgers football walk-ons have entered the portal and found landing spots. It’s encouraging that the new staff can bring in a group of players that they feel can get them closer to winning games in 2024 while also seeing these former players find homes at good programs to finish their careers.
