Luke Fickell and the University of Wisconsin football program have identified another pass rusher to add to their 2025 recruiting board.

On Thursday, the Wisconsin Badgers staff extended a scholarship offer to three-star EDGE Romando Johnson from West Palm Beach, Florida. UW is one of 13 schools to offer Johnson a scholarship thus far, joining Florida, Louisville, Miami, Penn State, Purdue, and Pitt, among others.

According to the industry-generated composite recruiting rankings, the 6-foot-4, 230-pound outside linebacker is the No. 538 player in the country, the No. 39 edge rusher in his class, and the No. 71 player in Florida.

Wisconsin football has now offered nine-edge rushers in the 2025 recruiting class.

Wisconsin Football Offers Florida EDGE Rusher Romando Johnson

New Wisconsin Badgers offer Romando Johnson has taken unofficial visits to Miami, USF, and Tennessee thus far.

On tape, he shows a lot of explosive ability off the edge and checks all the boxes in terms of physical thresholds. Wisconsin football has plenty of players on their roster from Florida that could make getting him on campus for a visit this summer more realistic.

It’s still being determined how many pass-rushers the Badgers want to take in this class, but they’re already in pretty deep with three-star Gabe Kaminski and four-star Austin Alexander.

The Wisconsin football 2025 recruiting class currently sits at four commits, which gives them the No. 16 group in the country.
