Madison, Wis. – Following the 2022-23 season, former Badgers guard Jahcobi Neath announced in early May that he would not return to the Wisconsin basketball program.

“The last two years as a Wisconsin Badger have been a world-class experience,” Neath said on Instagram. “The relationships I have made at this University have been special, and I am forever grateful and thankful for everyone who played a role in my time at UW-Madison…Due to multiple injuries I have suffered within the past two years, I believe it is in my best interest to return to Canada and continue my rehab, education and athletics closer to home.”

Now, Neath has found a new home to continue his playing career. TMU Bold Men’s Basketball announced that the former Badgers guard would join the program on Monday.

Neath appeared in 26 games for the Badgers with one start. The 6-foot-4, 195-pound guard would average 1.5 points, 1.3 rebounds, and 0.3 assists per game.

The former Badger suffered a partially torn patellar tendon following Wisconsin’s exhibition game during the 2021 season. Neath initially played through injury, but complications caught up to him.

During the 2022-23 season, Neath played in the first three games, averaging one point on 9.5 minutes per game. However, the senior would not dress for the rest of the season.

If the former Badger can stay healthy, he could be a productive asset to his new team.
