The schedule for the Wisconsin football team has been set for a while now. But many of the game times are still to be determined. Broadcasting rights for certain games are still being worked out.

Today, we learned what time the Badgers will play in what is arguably one of the biggest regular-season games. This season, NBC will be broadcasting one Big Ten game per week.

NBC will broadcast Wisconsin football multiple times in 2023

According to Brett McMurphy, Wisconsin football will have three games on NBC. They will host Iowa on October 14 in an afternoon game and Nebraska on November 18th in a night game.

But possibly the most notable game of the three will be on October 28th vs. Ohio State. At 7:30 pm.

This makes a potentially big matchup with the Buckeyes even bigger. It immediately brings up memories of 2010 when David Gilreath took the opening kickoff for a score and the Badgers beat the #1-ranked Buckeyes 31-18 in a night game at Camp Randall.

Since then, the Badgers have hosted OSU just twice. Both matchups have been pretty close, but resulting in overtime losses. If there’s a way to get the Buckeyes, it’s at home.

Looking at the schedule, the Badgers will have played Iowa (Oct. 14) and Illinois (Oct. 21) in the games leading up to this matchup. If the Badgers don’t get caught looking ahead to the OSU game and take care of business, we could potentially be looking at a matchup of undefeated teams.

Before this game, the Wisconsin football team will play vs. Buffalo, at Washington State, vs. Georgia Southern, at Purdue, vs. Rutgers, vs. Iowa, and at Illinois.

Ohio State will be at Indiana, vs. Youngstown State, vs. Western Kentucky, at Notre Dame, vs. Maryland, at Purdue, and vs. Penn State.

We all know how crazy college football is. It’s more likely than not that one of these teams will have a loss or two before they meet. But can you imagine how big this game would be if both teams ran onto Barry Alvarez Field undefeated?

Camp Randall. Night game. Halloween weekend.

If there’s a recipe for the Badgers to pull a huge upset, this is it.
