Wisconsin Football Specialist Declares for the 2024 NFL Draft
The Badgers long-snapper is taking his talents to the NFL.
While it might not receive the same type of fanfare as other Wisconsin football players, long-snapper Peter Bowden is officially taking his talents to the NFL after five seasons with the Badgers.
On Wednesday, the redshirt senior announced on social media that he would forgo his extra season of eligibility and enter the NFL Draft.
“I’d like to thank my family, coaches, and friends for all their support during my football career,” Bowden wrote. Being a Badger has been a dream come true, and you all helped make it possible.
“From the moment I took my visit at Memorial Terrace, I was sure I wanted to be a Badger. The University of Wisconsin has provided me with some incredible opportunities and pushed me further than I could have dreamed. Walking on to this program and university was difficult, but was the greatest decision I ever made.”

He served as the Wisconsin Badgers starting long-snapper for each of the past three seasons and will be replaced by Cincinnati transfer Cayson Pfeiffer, who was added from the portal earlier this offseason.
