The Wisconsin football program will have its work cut out for them as a big-time recruiting target is seemingly trending away from the Badgers.

Quanell X Farrakhan Jr., a four-star wide receiver in the 2025 class, is among the top names on Wisconsin’s receiver big board, but a recent Crystal Ball prediction shows UW is slipping in the race.

On Saturday, Alabama insider Brett Greenberg placed a prediction for the 6-foot, 170-pound receiver to land with the Crimson Tide.

According to the composite rankings, Farrakhan is the No. 282 player in the nation, the No. 34 WR, and the No. 43 player in Texas.

Wisconsin Football Trending Away From Four-Star WR Target

Wisconsin hosted Farrakhan on a junior day visit at the beginning of February. The Badgers had the benefit of having one of Farrakhan’s former teammates, true freshman quarterback Mabrey Mettauer, on campus to help with recruiting.

Farrakhan has a visit lined up with Alabama for March 13th, and with the recent Crystal Ball prediction, the door could be closing on his recruitment.

In his junior campaign at The Woodlands, Farrakhan recorded 52 receptions for 820 yards and 12 receiving touchdowns. He also tacked on 12 carries for 100 yards and five touchdowns. With 17 total touchdowns, Farrakhan is now The Woodlands’ leader for single-season touchdowns.

It’s worth noting that Farrakhan previously had Crystal Ball predictions to land at Penn State, but those predictions were cast in March of 2023.

With the four-star wide receiver seemingly headed to join Kalen DeBoer and company in Tuscaloosa, the Wisconsin football program may now shift attention to other prospects, including Cameron Miller, Eugene Hilton Jr., and Kamren Flowers.
