Last off-season, there was a brief stint when transfer guard Noah Reynolds committed to the Badgers out of the portal and was poised to join Greg Gard and the Wisconsin basketball program.

That union lasted less than a week, and the 6-foot-3 guard got cold feet, reversed course, and reopened his recruitment. The decision came after Gard landed St. John’s transfer AJ Storr, muddying the waters.

Subsequently, Reynolds followed Sundance Wicks to Green Bay. Wicks, who previously coached Reynolds as an assistant at Wyoming, was hired by the Phoenix to rebuild the program. Notably, the Phoenix hired Nic Reynolds, Noah’s brother, as an assistant on the coaching staff, which played a huge role in his decision.

Reynolds put together an impressive season with UW-Green Bay, averaging 20.0 points, 4.5 assists, and 3.7 rebounds per game while shooting 51.1 percent from the floor. After boosting his stock, Reynolds opted for a new path and re-entered the transfer portal

“It’s been a dream of mine to play basketball at the highest level, and thanks to this experience and the great coaching staff at Green Bay, I am able to evaluate my options and take the necessary steps,” Reynolds wrote.

The Peoria, Illinois native and future answer to a Wisconsin basketball trivia question answer has found a new home in the portal, announcing his commitment to TCU.

Meanwhile, the Wisconsin basketball program has lost four scholarship players to the transfer portal, two of whom were starters. Thus far, the Badgers haven’t been able to land anyone from the portal.
