The 2025 recruiting class is off to a hot start for the Wisconsin football program, currently sitting eighth in the national team rankings according to 247Sports. But Luke Fickell and company are looking to add more early in the recruiting cycle. They have their eyes set on tight end Marshall Pritchett out of Rabun Gap, Georgia.

Pritchett would be the Badgers’ 10th commitment in their 2025 recruiting class. The addition of the 6-5 tight end would push the Wisconsin football program to within three points of Auburn for seventh in the rankings. He would also be the third-highest ranked recruit for the Badgers’ class.

According to the 247Sports composite, Pritchett is a 3-star tight end. He is the 410th-ranked prospect nationally and the 24th tight end in the country.

He has over 20 Division 1 football offers. Among those offers are Wisconsin, Michigan, North Carolina, South Carolina, Miami (FL), Georigia Tech, Florida State, Michigan State, Tennessee, and more.

Wisconsin Football Target to Announce Commitment on Saturday

The Wisconsin football team and its fans won’t have to wait a whole lot longer to see where Pritchett will end up. He is set to make his announcement this Saturday, March 23rd at 5 PM.

The Badgers are in his final six teams and will have a hat on the table at the time of his commitment.

Nate Letton, Wisconsin’s tight end coach, is the lead recruiter for Pritchett. Letton, has one commit as a lead recruiter while at Madison, tight end Rob Booker in the 2024 class.

There are no crystal ball prediction for the Georgia tight end, but the On3 recruiting prediction machine gives North Carolina a 22.5% chance to land him.

If the Badgers are unable to secure a commitment from Pritchett, that would be the second tight end target they’ve missed out on. In-state tight end James Flanigan (Green Bay), a Notre Dame legacy, committed to the Irish in October.

However, the Badgers wouldn’t be completely out of options. The Wisconsin football staff has also been working on recruiting 4-star tight end, Brock Schott, out of Leo, Indiana, but that’s no guarantee either. A commitment from Pritchett would go a long way for the Badgers and their 2025 recruiting class moving forward.
