Wisconsin football officially added a local talent to its 2024 recruiting class on Wednesday. Inside linebacker Landon Gauthier signed his national letter of intent in his high school weight room and officially became a member of the Wisconsin Badgers.

The Bay Port High School product measures in at six feet three inches and 220 pounds. In his senior season with the Pirates, he racked up 58 tackles and six sacks in seven games to earn first-team all-state. Wisconsin Sports Network also named him a finalist for the John Anderson Award. The award, given to the most outstanding high school senior linebacker in Wisconsin, was won by fellow 2024 Badgers commit Drew Braam of Oak Creek.

Gauthier is an impressive athlete who played four sports in high school. In addition to football, he played basketball and baseball and ran track at Bay Port.

Landon Gauthier Commits to Wisconsin Football

Gauthier verbally committed to Wisconsin football in April. He, along with Braam, Thomas Heiberger, and Anelu Lafaele, make up the linebackers in Wisconsin’s 2024 high school class.

The local talent will waste no time moving a couple of hours down to Madison. The childhood Wisconsin Badgers fan plans to enroll early this January.
