After several visits with Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football coaching staff, the Badgers picked up a notable win on the in-state recruiting trail.

The Badgers secured a verbal commitment from 2024 wide receiver Langdon Nordgaard out of De Pere (WI), which he announced on X Sunday afternoon.

“After a great conversation with Mike Brown & Coach Fickell and an amazing game-day visit, I’m extremely excited to announce my commitment to Badgers football,” Norgaard wrote on social media.

The 6-foot-4 in-state recruit has decided to join the Wisconsin football team as a preferred walk-on over scholarship offers from Minnesota Duluth, Winona State, Northern State, Upper Iowa, Minnesota State, Valpo, and Augustana. Norgaard also held a PWO from Western Michigan.

Wisconsin Football Adds PWO Langdon Norgaard to 2024 Recruiting Class

Langdon Nordgaard’s journey to committing to the Wisconsin football program has involved a heavy dose of recruiting visits this season. Luke Fickell and company hosted him for unofficial visits during the Buffalo, Rutgers, and Ohio State games this season before he finally pulled the trigger.

Nordgaard now stands alongside fellow commit Kyan Berry Johnson, a four-star prospect, as the only wide receiver in this position for the Badgers in this recruiting cycle. It is, however, worth mentioning that there could be a potential fit here at tight end as well — if he can put on the weight without losing some of his seam stretching ability.

According to 247Sports, he carries a two-star prospect rating and is listed as the 34th-best player in the state for the 2024 class.

Notably, Nordgaard becomes the third walk-on recruit for the Wisconsin football team in the 2024 class, sharing this distinction with quarterback Milos Spasojevic and linebacker Drew Braam.
