Wisconsin Football Adds Local Talent to 2024 Recruiting Class
Wisconsin Football Lands Drew Braam as a Preferred Walk-On.
In another promising development for Wisconsin football on the recruiting trail, the Badgers have secured a commitment from talented 2024 in-state linebacker Drew Braam.
Braam, a Wisconsin native, proudly announced his commitment on a Tuesday, choosing to join the Wisconsin Badgers as a preferred walk-on.

This young linebacker prospect for 2024 will bolster the Badgers inside linebacker depth alongside fellow (scholarship) recruit Landon Gauthier, further strengthening the position group for the upcoming recruiting cycle.
Wisconsin Football Adds Recruit Drew Braam as a PWO
Drew Braam had several scholarship offers on the table, including Eastern Illinois, Lindenwood, Miami (OH), and South Dakota State. However, he pledged his commitment to Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program as a preferred walk-on instead.
Standing at 6-foot-2 inches and weighing 215 pounds, Braam is recognized as a two-star prospect, according to 247Sports, and holds the title of the 25th-best player in the state for the 2024 class.
Notably, Braam had previously been committed to South Dakota State. However, a recent visit to Madison this past weekend was enough to convince him to flip and embrace the opportunity to become a preferred walk-on for the Badgers.
Braam’s commitment follows closely on the heels of 2024 quarterback Milos Spasojevic, marking the second consecutive day that the Wisconsin Badgers have secured a valuable walk-on addition to their recruiting class.
The Wisconsin football recruiting department continues to improve its relationships with in-state programs by dipping into the local talent pool, securing a solid foundation to build on in future seasons.
