Wisconsin Football Expected to Land a 2024 Running Back Recruit

After visiting Wisconsin football for the first time during The Launch, 2024 three-star running back Gideon Ituka, out of Gaithersburg, Maryland, made a return trip to Madison for an official visit. After announcing a commitment date of June 17, it looks like the Badgers will likely be locking in their first of hopefully two RB commits of the cycle.

Oh man, it was amazing,” Ituka told 247Sports. “Really seeing the city and the atmosphere for the first time, it really felt like home for me. My family loved it; I loved it. We had a great time here. The coaches made it a great time. Meeting the players, it seemed like a family.”

According to the industry-generated 247Sports composite rankings, Ituka is the No. 78 RB in the 2024 recruiting class and the No. 23 player in Maryland.

Wisconsin Football is Trending for the Three-Star Running Back

Shortly after his visit, the Maryland native picked up a crystal ball prediction from Wisconsin football insider Evan Flood with a confidence of “8”, which is noteworthy considering the Badgers were already considered the frontrunner for his services entering his official visit.

The 5-foot-10, 225-pound tailback is a high-priority target of running backs coach Devon Spalding and would make for an intriguing change of pace option behind some of the more one-cut zone running backs that Wisconsin football has pursued to this point.

Ituka ran for 1,106 yards and 16 touchdowns as a Junior and currently holds offers from Boston College, Liberty, Maryland, Syracuse, Temple, Tennessee, Toledo, and several other schools.

I expect Wisconsin fans to be happy with the outcome of this decision.
