Luke Fickell and the University of Wisconsin football program will bid farewell to another Badgers staffer who is taking a new position.

Doug Samuels of FootballScoop reported that the Badgers are set to lose offensive analyst Rob Everett, who is joining the Miami Dolphins.

Everett temporarily took over coaching duties in the Wisconsin football team’s wide receiver room during ReliaQuest Bowl prep when coach Mike Brown left for the same position at Notre Dame.

He steps into this new NFL role after wearing many hats in his career. Everett served as a defensive coordinator at Bridgewater College from 2016-18. In 2018, Everett’s unit led the league in total defense, third-down efficiency, and red zone defense. During the spring of 2019, Everett became tight ends coach and assistant to the defensive coordinator with the Memphis Express.

Transitioning from his defensive background, Everett has made notable strides functioning as an offensive analyst working under Phil Longo at North Carolina and with the Wisconsin football program. He’ll now work with Mike McDaniel, one of the NFL’s premier offensive minds.

During his time with the Badgers, Everett’s responsibilities extended beyond quarterback coaching to encompass opponent breakdowns, scouting reports, and leveraging cutting-edge football technology.

The report also indicates that Wisconsin football has the necessary staff members in place and won’t be filling the opening left by Everett.
