Wisconsin Football Safety Hunter Wohler Addresses Future Plans
Wisconsin football fans will get to watch Hunter Wohler again during the ReliaQuest Bowl — after that — the Badgers will have to wait and see.
Luke Fickell and the University of Wisconsin football program ended an otherwise uneven regular season with a strong finish, winning both trophy games over the final two weeks — and becoming bowl-eligible.
In the regular season finale, Badgers star safety Hunter Wohler returned from an injury he suffered against Nebraska to register 12 tackles against the Minnesota Gophers and reclaim Paul Bunyan’s Axe.
Wohler earned 2nd team All-Big Ten Honors after registering 113 tackles (2nd most in B1G), four pass deflections, two interceptions, and a sack.
His impressive junior season has led many to question whether or not he would consider testing the NFL Draft waters.
Wisconsin Football Safety Hunter Wohler Hasn’t Made a Final Decision Yet.
Hunter Wohler discussed his future plans during a Zoom session with reporters on Sunday following the announcement of the Wisconsin football team’s bowl game against LSU.
The 6-foot-2 safety said that he will play in the ReliaQuest Bowl — but has given some thought to turning pro. Wohler acknowledged there were still decisions to be made, conversations to be had, and how much it means for him to play for UW, but he hasn’t reached a final decision.
#Badgers safety Hunter Wohler said he hasn’t reached a final decision on whether to return for another season or declare for the draft. Said there’s still some more discussions to be had. Did talk about how special Wisconsin is to him.

Whether or not the bowl game will mark Wohler’s final game in the Cardinal and White remains to be seen, but at least Badgers fans will watch the in-state product play one final time either way.
