Wisconsin Football Remains in Running for 4-Star Minnesota Recruit
The Badgers are trying to steal a recruit away from Minnesota.
Fast-rising Minnesota linebacker Emmanuel Karmo trimmed his lengthy list of recruiting offers, and when the dust settled, the Wisconsin Badgers football team was among the top seven.
Karmo, a four-star linebacker from Robbinsdale Cooper High School in Minneapolis, Minnesota, also had Nebraska, Ohio State, USC, Oregon, Penn State, and the Gophers on his revised list.
“Appreciate all the schools that have recruited me and while my recruitment is still open based on the schools that have offered me I’ll be focusing on these 7 schools,” Karmo wrote on social media.

Wisconsin football is recruiting Karmo as an inside linebacker to pair with in-state product Cooper Catalano in the 2025 class. Badgers’ defensive coordinator Mike Tressel has been the lead recruiter for Karmo. He plans to take an unofficial visit to Madison this spring.
The 6-foot-3, 225-pound linebacker totaled 49 tackles, 10 for loss, two sacks, and an interception during his junior season.
According to the composite recruiting rankings, Karmo is the No. 374 player in his class and the No. 1 player in Minnesota.
“Twitchy, athletic defender who has played several positions but as a junior, was largely a stand-up outside linebacker,” National recruiting analyst Allen Trieu wrote. “Shows short area quickness and burst to the ball. Aggressive and makes a good number of plays in the backfield. Has the tools to be able to play in coverage.”
Coach Fickell and the Wisconsin football program have seven verbal commitments in the 2025 recruiting class, which ranks 17th nationally, following the de-commitments of Cody Haddad and Torrin Pettaway.
