Wisconsin Football Program Expected to Make Another Transfer Portal Addition
Fall camp is fast approaching for the Wisconsin football program, but it looks like the Badgers might not be finished adding to the secondary.
Fall camp is fast approaching for the Wisconsin football program, but the Badgers might not be finished adding to the secondary for the 2023 season.
Last month, Wisconsin cornerbacks coach Mike Haynes extended a scholarship offer to Air Force defensive back Mike Mack II, and things seemed to be heading in a good direction.
“I’ve heard nothing except wonderful things about the campus and environment,” Mack told BadgerNotes in a previous interview. “I have received offers from Wisconsin, NC State, and Oregon State. Wisconsin is definitely in consideration right now.”
But now it appears things between the two sides have picked back up in a really positive way.
Wisconsin Football Is Trending for the Air Force CB
Seemingly out of nowhere, Mike Mack II picked up a crystal ball prediction from Wisconsin football insider Evan Flood with a confidence of “6.”
Mack is a 6-foot-1, 185-pound cornerback who was named a pre-season All-Mountain West honoree. He has 20 games of collegiate experience that he brings to the table and the size the new coaching staff covets.
During his career playing for Air Force, Mack has totaled 69 tackles, four pass deflections, 2.5 TFLs, and an interception. If he were to join the Wisconsin football program, it would be with two years of eligibility remaining and could potentially slot into immediate playing time.
This is a late transfer portal addition worth keeping an eye on heading into fall camp.
