Wisconsin Badgers Football OL Dylan Barrett enters the transfer portal
Wisconsin offensive lineman Dylan Barrett (61) snaps the ball to quarterback Myles Burkett (16) during the fourth quarter of their game Saturday, September 17, 2022 at Camp Randall Stadium in Madison, Wis. Wisconsin beat New Mexico State 66-7.

Wisconsin football redshirt junior center Dylan Barrett has announced that he will enter the transfer portal after four seasons in Madison.

This news follows the 28-14 win over Minnesota in the season-finale on Saturday — and will allow him to get a head start in finding a new home before the Badgers bowl game in late December.

Throughout the Wisconsin football season, Dylan Barrett served as the Badgers’ No. 2 center on the depth chart behind Tanor Bortolini — but was surpassed by Jake Renfro once he was healthy.

Barrett appeared in just one game on offense during the 2023 season against Georgia Southern, played six snaps, and finished with a Pro Football Focus grade of 65.1. In 2022, Barrett appeared in two games and played 28 snaps under head coach Paul Chryst.

The 6-foot-5, 325-pound offensive lineman who attended St. Charles East High School (ILL) joined the Wisconsin football program as a member of the 2020 recruiting class under the previous coaching staff.

Barrett is the first known Wisconsin Badgers player to enter the transfer portal this offseason — although more are sure to follow.
