Wisconsin Football Offers 2026 Running Back From Texas
The Badgers have offered a new RB in the 2026 class.
The Wisconsin football team is wasting no time making inroads for their 2026 recruiting class. The Wisconsin coaching staff has made an offer to Davis Penn, a 2026 running back out of Texas, during his visit on Saturday. Penn plays for Texas powerhouse, Southlake Carroll, a school that consistently produces Division 1 talent.
#AGTG After an amazing visit and great conversation with @CoachSpalding_ and @CoachPhilLongo I am blessed and honored to receive an offer from University of Wisconsin! @BadgerFootball @CoachFick @ZachZilmJr @_maximus347 @coachrdodge @SLC_Recruiting pic.twitter.com/oEhYM2wULq

According to the 247Sports composite, the 5-9, 170lb running back is currently unranked, but few recruits are this early in the recruiting process.
Wisconsin football is Penn’s third offer, joining Toledo and Texas State.
“The coaches think I am a good player with good skills and they see me as a multi purpose running back,” Penn told BadgerNotes.
Despite being a sophomore in a loaded program, Penn saw plenty of action. According to 247Sports, Penn ran for 1,594 yards and 30 touchdowns on just 160 carries, averaging 9.96 yards per carry. The speedy back hits holes hard and shows great breakaway speed.
Things are just getting started for Penn in his college recruitment, but the Wisconsin football team is getting their foot in the door early.
“I am early into the recruiting process, but Wisconsin is a potential school I would see myself going to.”
Aside from the Badgers, Penn is also hearing from Missouri, Arizona State, and Stanford.
