Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football staff has continued to add to their fantastic 2024 recruiting class, this time adding to an offensive strength.

Gideon Ituka, a 2024 three-star running back from Maryland, has officially committed to the Wisconsin Badgers. With his commitment, the Badgers have landed the first running back out of a trio that has been aggressively recruited by the staff. Fellow 2024 recruits Darrion Dupree and Dilin Jones still remain on the board. Regardless of where the other two recruits land, Ituka is an incredible pick-up for the Badgers.

Wisconsin Badgers Staff Adding To Running Back Room With The Physical Gideon Ituka

Coming in at 5-feet-9-inches, 220-pounds, Ituka is a strong, physical ball carrier. The powerful running back carries defenders with him when he moves the ball downfield and rarely moves away from contact. Ituka is also an accomplished receiver with multiple highlight receptions this past season. The rising Senior is now a Wisconsin football commitment ahead of his final high school season. With plenty of time left to grow, Ituka will continue to master his style of play before reaching college.

This past season as a Junior, Ituka recorded 152 carries for 1106 yards and 16 touchdowns. The running back also caught seven passes for 104 yards while recording five 100+ rushing yard games. The season before as a Sophomore, Ituka recorded 262 yards and two touchdowns against Watkins Mill on 23 carries.

Ituka is an exceptional runner with an eye for finding the gaps in the defense. With his ability as a rusher and his football intelligence, Ituka could become a weapon in the Wisconsin offense. The Wisconsin football team will certainly be able to find plenty of uses for Ituka early on in his collegiate career.

With his commitment, the Badgers will now shift their focus towards Darrion Dupree, who has held a crystal ball prediction for the Badgers via 247 Sports. The Wisconsin Badgers expect to hear a commitment announcement from the Illinois native before the end of the month.
