Head coach Luke Fickell and the Wisconsin football program will get an official visit from one of the Badgers’ top 2025 recruiting targets.

Greg Smith of Rivals reported that highly touted four-star offensive tackle Jack Lange, hailing from Eureka, Missouri, is scheduled to take an official visit to Madison on May 31. Lange will also take official visits to Missouri, Michigan, and Nebraska before making a decision.

This news comes after Lange stopped by the Wisconsin football team’s first spring practice of the offseason. He was able to watch the position group work and continue building a relationship with offensive line coach A.J. Blazek — whom he had not met in person until that visit.

“I hope that they come in here and they get a good sense of what the culture and environment is really like,” Fickell told reporters. “If you don’t love to compete, if you don’t love to put it out on the line .. if that’s not what you love, then this probably isn’t going to be the right place for you. And so, it’s great to have guys here.”

Having received an offer from the Wisconsin Badgers staff in January, Lange stands out as the top-rated offensive tackle in Missouri and ranks 14th nationally at his position, according to the composite recruiting rankings.

In addition to the Wisconsin football program, Lange had previously listed Notre Dame and Ole Miss among his top six programs in February. All indications are that the Badgers have a legit change in this recruitment and will have the first chance at making a favorable impression.

With a sharpened focus on reestablishing Wisconsin’s reputation as one of the premier offensive line schools in the nation, Luke Fickell and newly appointed offensive line coach AJ Blazek see Lange as another high-upside offensive tackle to develop alongside Kevin Heywood.
