It’s no secret that this is a massive weekend for the Wisconsin football program on the field, but it’s quickly becoming an important one on the recruiting front as well.

In college football, legacies are not just a narrative but often a living reality. The Badgers will witness that firsthand on Saturday when they welcome a very special visitor, Landon Pace, to campus for a visit.

The 2025 tight-end prospect hails from Saint Louis (Mo.) University High School boasts a legacy that goes well beyond the painted white stripes.

Wisconsin Football Set to Host Ohio State Legacy on Recruiting Visit.

If the last name Pace sounds familiar, especially within the context of the Wisconsin football team’s matchup this weekend, it’s because Landon Pace is the son of an Ohio State legend. His father, Orlando Pace, is not just any Buckeye; he was an All-American offensive tackle who made an indelible mark on Ohio State’s history.

Now, Landon is making a name for himself as a standout recruit, earning a scholarship offer from the University of Wisconsin in January. He’s been on the coaching staff’s radar for some time.

Standing tall at 6-foot-3 and weighing in at 215 pounds, Pace is no stranger to the recruiting spotlight. With 12 reported scholarship offers, including ones from prestigious programs like Ohio State, Missouri, West Virginia, Connecticut, Boston College, and Iowa State, his potential is undeniable.

Pace has been designated as a 3-star prospect in the 247Sports Composite rankings. This recognition places him as the No. 548 overall prospect in the 2025 class, the No. 57 athlete in the country, and is considered the seventh-ranked prospect in the state of Missouri.

While Pace’s legacy is rooted in Ohio State’s storied history, his future is considered an open book, ready to be written. The Wisconsin football recruiting department is looking forward to giving Pace their pitch, and it certainly wouldn’t hurt their odds if the Badgers could put together a strong showing under the lights.
