Wisconsin Football: Another Huge Recruiting Weekend Awaits

Madison, Wis. – The Wisconsin football program went on a roll of commitments following the June 2nd recruiting weekend.

The Badgers secured four recruits in just three days, with Vernon Woodward, Hank Weber, Kevin Heywood, and Ryan Cory announcing their commitments. Following the additions, Wisconsin climbed to the No. 15 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle, according to the industry-generated 247Sports Composite.

UW currently stands at 12 recruits in the 2024 cycle, but there’s still plenty of work to be done. Now, Wisconsin is facing another big recruiting weekend, with plenty of their top targets heading to Madison on Friday.

Known Official Visitor List for the June 9th Wisconsin football recruiting weekend

UW will have multiple headliner prospects on campus for the weekend, including four-star IOL Liam Andrews, four-star CB Omilio Agard, three-star DL Dominic Kirks, and three-star OT Ronan O’Connell.

All four prospects have received plenty of interest from some big-time schools, but Wisconsin is still firmly in the mix in their respective recruitments.

In addition to those four players, Wisconsin will host three-star CB Jay Harper, three-star safety Raphael Dunn, three-star OT Colin Cubberly, three-star running back Gideon Ituka, and unranked CB Lloyd Irvin. Wisconsin football commits Thomas Heiberger and Derek Jensen will also be in attendance.

After the success of the June 2nd recruiting weekend, this coming weekend becomes even more important for the new regime. Wisconsin has already brought on some noteworthy prospects, but securing one or multiple of the upcoming visitors would propel the class even further.

It’s worth noting that UW made the cut for Andrews and O’Connell when they released their top school choices. If Luke Fickell and company can work the same kind of magic they did last weekend, we could see some more bat signals go up.

Wisconsin has all but secured a top-20 recruiting class in the 2024 cycle. However, the success of this upcoming weekend could launch the program further up the charts.

Stay tuned for updates following another massive recruiting weekend for the Wisconsin football program.
